An ex-monastery, later on a hand-craft workshop for the art of table decoration and gilding, typical jobs in Diladdarno, since 2000, these premises have become the trattoria-pizzeria NapoLeone, once defined by actor Bruce Willis “one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen.”

Placed on the astonishing Piazza del Carmine, the heart of San Frediano, and in front of Santa Maria del Carmine church, inside which there is the well-known Cappella Brancacci with its frescoes by Masaccio and Masolino, the restaurant has a beautiful outdoor terrace where, during summer time, it's possible to eat untill late. It's the right place where to stop after an evening at the cinema or at the theatre because it's open for dinner, from 7pm to 1am, The outside is in provencal style with lanterns lit by candles, little lamps with coloured lights, cushions all around: everything contributes to making the atmosphere intimate and very especial.

Inside you can breathe a warm atmosphere thanks to a pleasant and well selected incidental musical: the rooms are special and well furnished with antiques, they have windows overlooking a court embellished with plants; old painted maps are exposed, instead, in the room at the lower floor. There is also a private room at the clients' disposal, entirely furnished in wood and with hunting trophies, where it is possible to organise parties, events and dinners with personalized menus.

The menu offers an ample list of selected wines; the restaurant'shighlights are: the antipasto NapoLeone, rigatoni alla sorrentina, the fritti, le tagliate, fresh fish brought every day directlyfrom Viareggio, and the apple cake (called by the owners: torta di mele dimanicomio)
